Mother Verde Wellness Weekly: Softer Mornings in the In-Between Season ✨

Happy Holidays!

This Week We’re Talking About Time Management

This time of year moves differently.
Days are shorter. Routines loosen. School pauses. Mornings stretch and feel less predictable. There’s a pull to slow down… even as life keeps asking for attention.

Many women are holding a lot right now. The end of a full year. The emotional weight in the world. Grief sitting quietly alongside the holidays. A longing for light, connection, and moments that feel steady.

It’s time to support yourself, the woman at the center of the household, so the day can begin with a little more ease. And that support looks simple… food, water, a breath before the day takes over. Gentle rhythms instead of rigid schedules. Letting mornings bend without needing them to look a certain way. A chance to move more slowly. To create small pockets of warmth and care… even when the world feels heavy.

In this week’s blog, I’m talking about why mornings often feel heavier during this in-between season… how end-of-year fatigue and emotional labor show up early in the day… and how gentle nourishment, flexible rhythms, and lighter expectations can help mornings feel more grounded, even when life is off-schedule.

Recipe of The Week

High Protein Avocado Toast

An unexpected way to add more protein to your typical avocado toast. This recipe is great for when you’ve got 20 task to complete in a day and you’re running on snacks. Make them fast, and easy, nutrient-dense, and balanced!

🌸 Mantra of the Week

"I am allowed to begin my day by supporting myself."

✨ Tip of the Week

Simplify breakfast. Choose two or three go-to meals that are quick, balanced, and easy to repeat. The less you have to decide in the morning, the smoother it feels.

Egg+ toast + 1/2 cup fruit

Protein smoothie

Oatmeal or yogurt bowl

🌿 If you’re ready for a deeper reset, the 3 Day Reset Guide for the Chaos Weary Mama offers a clear, practical path to calmer mornings and more ease in your days. Purchasing the guide also supports the work I do in creating resources for moms who long for peace in the everyday.

As the year comes to a close, may you feel held… not just by your routines, but by yourself.

Until next time,
Lindsey

Good afternoon...This Week We’re Talking About Mindset. Good afternoon, If the start of this year feels heavy instead of energizing, you’re not imagining it... and you’re not doing anything wrong. Even if you’re not watching the news, the weight of what’s happening in the world still reaches your body. Add winter, motherhood, work, emotional labor, and the constant pressure to “get it together,” and it makes sense that many of us feel tired, resistant, or quietly overwhelmed. There’s still so...

Checking in…how are you doing? It's almost the new year! This Week We’re Talking About Stress Reduction The days after the holidays can feel tender. We’re full of cheese and emotions. We don’t know what day it is. Decorations start to come down, routines are still a little wacky, and there’s a mix of joy; gratitude, exhaustion, and emotion sitting together. I notice it most in the body… slower mornings, heavier shoulders, a real need for quiet. I am truly sleepy and lazy right now. I’m making...

Good Afternoon. This Week We’re Talking About Nutrition and Energy As Christmas approaches, life naturally becomes fuller. Routines loosen, mental load increases, and even meaningful moments take more energy to hold. It’s common to feel more tired than usual, even with enough sleep. If you’re waking up drained or relying on caffeine, you’re not alone. This season asks a lot, and fatigue is often the body’s way of asking for steadier support, not more effort. Energy isn’t built by sleep alone....
