Mother Verde Wellness Weekly: How a Weekly Ritual Can Save Your Sanity

Good afternoon...

This Week We’re Talking About Time Management.

Do you ever feel like the week just runs you? You wake up Monday already behind, the house feels like a mess, and your brain’s juggling fifteen tabs that never close. How do you anchor down?

I've lived in survival mode a big chunk of my life. I am freedom loving too. Developing routines and simplicity has taken a lot of work because of my wiring from childhood, but structure helps us feel safe, and I've found rhythms & rituals really anchor me when life gets crazy.

Now, on Mondays I do self-check ins and reflect on what's been good and what's been challenging and what I need in the upcoming week. I also do a mini meal prep for myself, and the kids, including ordering groceries. Every Friday I do laundry and clean the floors, and on Sunday everything is clean and tidy before we start our week. We also do house purge every solstice.

What are your weekly rituals that help you create flow?

In this week’s blog, I’m sharing how to create your own weekly reset ritual, one that fits your real life. It’s full of gentle steps to help you organize, exhale, and feel like yourself again.

Recipe of The Week

Walnut Fig Bites

These are so simple to make. These bites are good for quick nutrition on the go, or enjoy as a sweet treat with a cup of tea or coffee. This walnut + fig pairing is rich in fiber, potassium, protein, healthy fats, and contain many bioactive compounds that help fight inflammation and cellular damage.

🌸 Mantra of the Week

"I give myself permission to pause, reset, and start fresh every week."

Upcoming Events & Services

On November 15th, with Roots to Rise NYC I will do a talk on why Food Is Medicine (with a cooking demo & tasting!) at Nourish to Flourish at Casa Wellness in Astoria, NYC. This is in collaboration with Siembra Today, leading the workshop with a talk on being a conscious parent in today's world. It's free! Hope to see you there.

Until next time,
Lindsey

Good afternoon...This Week We’re Talking About Mindset. Good afternoon, If the start of this year feels heavy instead of energizing, you’re not imagining it... and you’re not doing anything wrong. Even if you’re not watching the news, the weight of what’s happening in the world still reaches your body. Add winter, motherhood, work, emotional labor, and the constant pressure to “get it together,” and it makes sense that many of us feel tired, resistant, or quietly overwhelmed. There’s still so...

Checking in…how are you doing? It's almost the new year! This Week We’re Talking About Stress Reduction The days after the holidays can feel tender. We’re full of cheese and emotions. We don’t know what day it is. Decorations start to come down, routines are still a little wacky, and there’s a mix of joy; gratitude, exhaustion, and emotion sitting together. I notice it most in the body… slower mornings, heavier shoulders, a real need for quiet. I am truly sleepy and lazy right now. I’m making...

Happy Holidays! This Week We’re Talking About Time Management This time of year moves differently.Days are shorter. Routines loosen. School pauses. Mornings stretch and feel less predictable. There’s a pull to slow down… even as life keeps asking for attention. Many women are holding a lot right now. The end of a full year. The emotional weight in the world. Grief sitting quietly alongside the holidays. A longing for light, connection, and moments that feel steady. It’s time to support...
